Baked Asparagus recipe is very easy to make. You just need to marinate the asparagus in a ziploc bag for 3 hours and then bake it in the oven. If you prefer, you can grill it instead. To make it vegetarian, use vegetarian oyster sauce since it is made of mushrooms. The regular oyster sauce contains oyster.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce (to make it vegetarian, use vegetarian oyster sauce only)
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper or to taste
- 1 lb asparagus
- 1 tablespoon roasted almonds
- 1/8 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Methods:
- Combine balsamic vinegar, oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce, olive oil, salt and pepper in ziploc bag. This is marinade sauce.
- Break or cut off woody ends of the asparagus spears.
- Place asparagus spears in the ziploc bag of the marinade sauce. Marinate the asparagus for at least 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Take asparagus spears out from the bag and arrange them to 1 layer on baking dish. Throw the marinade sauce out.
- Bake until fork tender (about 15 to 20 min).
- Once done in the oven, sprinkle roasted almonds and toasted sesame seeds on top of asparagus.
- Serve them while they are still warm.
